Jenny Saville Solo Show at Modern Art Oxford

For the last couple of months Modern Art Oxford has been host to one of England's greatest painters, Jenny Saville. This is surprisingly Jenny Savilles first solo show and what better place to host it than her well to do/ well off home town of Oxford.
These sometimes horrific portraits can be seen in full scale at the show which demands an open mind and tough skin. The majority of Jennys work is portrait based of unfortunate peoples disease or violence, but none the less, you cant help but look in ore of the style and sheer size of some of these paintings.
You could argue that Jennys works is most famous for appearing on the album covers of Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers on both 'The Holy Bible' and 'Journal for Plague Lovers'
